Bulgarian Translation + News 9

Thanks to Sah War we now have a translation file for Bulgarian (Apologies about taking so long to upload it).

There are some spacing issues which I will resolve in the next version.

If things work out there may be something special released before Christmas. It’s not a new version (~mid January), it’s a separate but related little program which I’ve been planning for a few days. The prototype isn’t finished, so if it’s a horrible failure then we will say no more about it.

Hooray! Great, thanks for releasing it for everybody, I love the open-source spirit! 🙂
I’m eager to see what you’re code-cooking for us, take your time with that project. Long live ASCgen2 and you – its creator&maintainer!

  • Jonathan

    Thanks.

I’ve done more work on the code in the last three days then I had in the last year. Annoyingly, you can’t really tell unless you look at the code. 😕

Next version will not be a beta.

  • Sah War

Great news, your efforts will definitely pay off! 8)
So, we should be waiting for the stable v1.0 soon, I suppose? Neat.
Anyway, I agree that programming(coding) is tough work that requires a lot of planning and thinking, but if it’s done by someone like you, it’s a form of functional art, expressed through science&technology! 😉
Umm, I’m going to sleep now, it’s 5am here in Bulgaria and I haven’t slept in days. 😀
In the mean time, I’ll also monitor the project closely.

I wish more visitors would respond to your project. I am doing up something right now and have just about pulled the plug because no one is giving any input. It sucks.

    Missed the beta.

  • Jonathan

You really have to keep going and release something good before people get involved. At the end of the day, if you do something for yourself then yours is the only input that matters.

The new version (2.0) will be a little while longer. I didn’t want to just release something that is functionally identical to the previous version, no matter how much neater the internals are. I’m totally rewriting how conversions are handled, and will be adding a new conversion method which is much better for line-art style input.

I’d also like to change the UI, but I only have a vague idea of how it should look atm.
