This is so lovely a program. Please do keep it up... Once feature I would like to see is the generation of coloured images - that would make this fantastic!!!

yup, it was a large image and i selected the number of characters so that it would fill an A4 page. I used a font size of 8 i think. It was definitely 9-11% off, i remember comparing the height:width ratio of the two in pixels.
(COULD HAVE been due to changing font size from 8.5 to 8 in word? (as the generator spat out 8.5 when i entered 8 - cant remember, possibly))

There will always be a bit of a difference because the output width and height needs to be divisible by the character size, but it shouldn't be off by that much. I'll run some checks on it when I get a chance.

I remember converting images (sized medium to large) in December 06/Jan 07,
I took dimensions of the original picture and of the ascii text (print screened and "measured"). The ascii text was about 10% taller - i.e people looked thinner/taller.
Not sure if this has been fixed? (I was most likely using the latest version at the time)

Yes. I'll need to have a closer look at it, the image resizing seems to be screwing things up somehow.

In regards to very low resolution images, there is a shift in weight towards the right and bottom of the output. Is this a bug also?
